BEIRA
Beira is a dance work that transits between places of performance, sculpture and installation. The workinvestigates the relationship of two performers in attempts to balance and support their bodies, aquariums holding fish, experiencing and experiencing fragile and unstable supports, both in relation to objects and in the relationship between their own bodies.
Beira traces a dialogue with risk, precariousness and the desire to continue to exist with vitality, despite all the social, political and emotional fragility that surrounds us.
How is it to be in the almost, in the near, on the edge, on the margin, between borders? How to sustain life in unsafe conditions, maintaining a vitality in fragility, allowing oneself to exist in risk? Where do we find ourselves when we are not falling and not staying? How to resist binarisms?
