Nicole Gomes, Brazilian, born in Rio de Janeiro in 1990. She is a performer, dancer, director actress, teacher and producer. She works in the field of performing arts, carrying out authorial and collaborative projects aimed mainly at the relationship and friction between body, matter and space. Graduated in dance degree from Faculdade Angel Vianna in 2016 and theater from Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras (CAL) in 2011.
In the same year he joined the Cirandeira company where, through theater and dance, they carried out research on Brazilian popular culture. In 2013 he presented and created the performance “Tráfico” and represented Brazil in Cuba at the Havana Vieja Ciudad en Movimiento festival. The following year he created the performance “Cabélo” in partnership with the artist Gabriel Bellas and participated in the performance “These associations” by the artist Tino Sehgal. In 2015 he collaborated on the film “Além de Nós” (directed by João Maia) and started a national tour with the play “Zero de Conduta” (directed by Marcelo Faria).
In the following year he graduated in dance and began to teach dance and theater with a focus on awareness and body expression, acting in different age groups, from babies to seniors.
In 2017, he created and presented the performance “Beira” in partnership with the artist Gabriela Cordovez and founded the cultural Space Montagem, a place dedicated to the scene of independent artists, where she curated and produced performance, theater and dance exhibitions.
In 2018, he joined Companhia Volante de teatro, which develops research into the occupation of public space, and collaborated in the creation and acted in the play “Central- a landscape play in so many movements” and assisted in directing the play “Baladas”. In the same year, he presented the work "Quase" (directed by Vanessa Garcia).
In the following year he participated in the performance “Ninguém me solta” (directed by Rafaela Sahyoun) and in the education art piece “Criaturas” (directed by Maria Elvira Machado).Still in 2019, she participated in a performance laboratory in partnership with other artists that gave rise to four new performances: “Fosso” and “Disparos 1,3,4”.
In 2020, she started new creative processes focused on visual audio, image and text, and created two art videos entitled “Para Peito” and "Parte” that were awarded with the Funarte Respirarte award.
In addition to academic training, over the years, he has taken several courses and residencies, training in visual arts at Parque Lage and at the music school Vila Lobos, Circo Crescer e Viver, and artistic residencies with Companhia Cena 11, Renan Martins , Maria Elvira Machado and Cristian Duarte.
