CENTRAL- UMA PEÇA EM TANTOS MOVIMENTOS

Central - uma peça em tantos movimentos is Companhia Volante's second show with a focus on itinerancy and the occupation of urban space. Created in a collaborative process with a team of almost twenty artists involved, it debuted in August 2018 on the circuit between Largo da Carioca and Cinelândia, in downtown Rio de Janeiro.

The piece has in its structure research in technology, architecture, landscape, body, politics and performance. Each of the five performers conducted topics of personal interest and dear to the community, they are: education; death and black genocide; consumption; public security and social surveillance; the dance epidemic and the woman's body erupting. Through a journey through the city, which establishes different landscapes, the vehicles develop actions and develop encounters with the concrete architecture of the spaces and the symbolic construction of their interests.

Central is a reading of the here and now; cartography not to direct us, but to locate us. Five vehicles measured experiences that permeate us, in a trajectory between squares. Mass and pack in implosion, outburst and turbulence.
